Expressive Threads: Teen LGBTQIA+ Art Space

Art Therapy Group for Adolescents

Explore Identity and Self-Expression Through Art

Expressive Threads is a 3-session summer art therapy group for LGBTQIA+ teens to explore identity, creativity, and connection through fiber-based art-making. In a supportive, affirming space, participants will create their own yarn or fabric doll as a symbolic representation of their inner experience.

This group blends individual creative expression with gentle group support, offering teens a place to process emotions, build confidence, and connect with others who may share similar questions or experiences. Facilitated by a credentialed art therapist, each session includes guided prompts, time for art-making, and optional reflection.

Group meets Thursdays from 3:00–4:30 PM
Dates: June 19, July 17, and August 14, 2025
Location: Radiant Mind Wellness – Millcreek, Utah
