Creative Relief: Art Therapy for Teens Living With Chronic Pain
Group Art Therapy for Adolescents
Find Calm & Connection through Creative Expression
Creative Relief is a 9-week art therapy group for teens living with chronic pain or illness. In this supportive, creative space, teens will explore how art-making can ease tension, express emotion, and build connection with others who truly understand. A place to find community.
Through gentle mindfulness and guided art therapy, teens will learn new ways to communicate what words can’t capture, creating art that reflects their experiences of resilience, strength, and self-understanding.
This group offers a balance of personal creative time and group sharing, helping participants express emotion, reduce stress, and feel less alone in their journey. Each session includes a guided prompt, open art-making time, and optional reflection.
Group meets Thursdays from 5:00–6:30 PM
Dates: Nov 13, Nov 20, Nov 25 (Tuesday before Thanksgiving); Dec 4, Dec 11, Dec 18, 2025; Jan 8, Jan 15, Jan 22, 2026
These nine weeks are divided into three segments of three sessions each, with a brief pause between them to allow rest and flexibility through the holidays.
