Amber Scheid, Clinical Art Therapy & Counseling Graduate Student Intern

Facing difficult challenges in life can lead to feelings of isolation and instability. Confident because of my own healing journey, I understand the complexities of navigating feelings such as anxiety, depression, and uncertainty through adulthood. Together, we can cultivate positive change to your life and facilitate Lasting growth.

I offer a Person-centered approach, utilizing Clinical Art Therapy and integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Somatic Techniques. I will cultivate a Supportive space where you are encouraged to embrace self exploration and remain open to learning new skills.

I believe that everyone can Heal when they find a path well aligned with their unique personality and dispositions. Allow me to help you in your discovery for which path is for you. 

I am a graduate student intern, working towards my degree in Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy under the supervision of Kathryn Wingard, LCMHC, ATR-BC.

I am dedicated to helping individuals heal through a blend of traditional therapy, art, and Somatic approaches. Inspired by my personal experiences with therapeutic art-making during times of Grief, I integrate Creative Expression and Trauma-Informed techniques to promote Emotional Well-Being. I am working toward licensure as an Art Therapist and Clinical Counselor through Syracuse University and focus on Empowering clients in their journeys of Self-Discovery, Growth, and Resilience. I specialize in using Clinical Art Therapy and somatic practices to assist with Emotional Regulation, Stress Relief, and Personal Transformation.
